For the living room, I'm really going to want a coffee table with hair pin legs as the support. I like their minimalist design, both with two or three rods. It seems like they wouldn't be sufficiently sturdy, but these manufacturers say they can hold a lot of weight. The table top in the second picture is nice too, but I could do with a plain top from Ikea and let the the legs be the centerpiece.

2nd post and two problems already: 1) I'm no handyman and 2) Even if I had the skills, the cool legs and a top, where would I find the space and tools to put this thing together in NYC
